Nearly 20 years ago the agricultural buildings of the family farm, where the cows once lived, were converted to house the first beekeeping centre and demonstration distillery in the Bregenzerwald.

Using their own dedicated system, the beekeeping centre cares for approximately 120 hives. The distillery produces a number of different varieties of schnapps using approx. 60,000 kg of quality fruit per year. All the liqueurs produced by the family stem exclusively from the recipes handed down by their grandmother. Naturally and organically manufactured massage products and scented oils are also made here.

The “Gsiberger Edelpraline” chocolate selection – with unique, local fillings such as Sig caramel, meadow flowers and Williams Creme honey etc. – rounds off this gastronomic extravaganza on a decidedly sweet note.

In addition you will find other local products from the Bregenzerwald, including alpine cheeses, bacon, jams, game specialities and natural herb tea varieties.

The Bentele family loves to greet visitors at their idyllically located farm shop, and to extend traditional Bregenzerwald hospitality in the form of a welcome glass of schnapps!

The Bentele family is happy to organise guided tours of the beekeeping centre and distillery for pre-booked groups, or to suggest interesting full or multiple-day routes around the Bregenzerwald.
