Evangelische Heilandskirche
Church, cathedral, basilica, pilgrimage church and minster

On the way back over the Rosenstrasse the tour takes us past the Protestant Church (Church of the Holy Saviour). The church, designed and built by Otto Bartnig in 1930-1, was inspired by the mountain chapel in Schenkenhan, in the Czech Republic. Its central attraction is the octagonal interior hall. In 1951 Dornbirn was given parish status (with Hohenems and Lustenau).
